What is Your Heart Asking You to do?

Often times when we think of heart we think of love, romance, and relationships.  But, when I ask you,  “What is your heart asking you to do?” I’m not talking about romance.  I’m talking about purpose, fulfillment, and life calling.

I’m talking about walking a path that is as unique as you are.  One that utilizes all your talents and inspires you to learn more skills.  One that your family of origin most likely did not predict for you.  In fact, no one predicted it.  Not even you.  It might even be a complete surprise.

The kind of surprise that makes perfect sense because you’ve felt it your whole life.

This path (the one I refer to as your Heart Path) has an energy to it that is consistently calling to you.  But, it doesn’t call loudly.  It calls softly in the quiet moments of your awakening, the space in between appointments.

It’s a challenge to listen to this calling because our society values the busy-ness of productivity.  But, alas, the productivity of mainstream culture keeps you just busy enough, just miserable enough to keep your bills paid, your health patched together, and your mind distracted.

But, if you were to put all distractions aside what would your heart ask you to do?

If all your bills were magically paid, what would you do M-F from 8-5?

What is your heart asking you to do?

I want to hear from you.  Simply leave a comment for all to benefit from or send me an email at Cassandra@SimplyFearless.com and let me know what you feel, what you hear, what you know deep down in your being…in between appointments…

  • Thank you HK! Yeah, expectations are quick to shut the heart out. And addictions are even quicker. But, your heart is always there, always waiting, and simply loves those moments of connection when you are free.

This is a great post & reminder to follow our hearts. I think my heart is telling me that it feels trapped & suffocated by other people's expectations and opinions, tired of resorting to addictions, and that it just wants to be free.
  • Oh Ronna ~ your response is beautiful! It would make a great blog post. I invite you to copy & paste this into your blog:

"My heart is asking me to trust it; to believe that the things I most want, desire, and hope for are good, worthwhile, and worth pursuing and holding onto. Often those things fly in the face of practicalities, finances, relational realties, and certainly that editing/censoring voice inside of me.

My heart invites me, again and again, to live out loud; to let IT be what guides me in all things, at all times. Easier said than done, but so worth trusting and following."
  • Cassandra: So beautiful. 'Sounds like "Your Heart Path" is yours...being expressed and articulated here - and hoped on behalf of others. 'Can hardly wait to see what this becomes!

To answer you? My heart is asking me to trust it; to believe that the things I most want, desire, and hope for are good, worthwhile, and worth pursuing and holding onto. Often those things fly in the face of practicalities, finances, relational realties, and certainly that editing/censoring voice inside of me.

My heart invites me, again and again, to live out loud; to let IT be what guides me in all things, at all times. Easier said than done, but so worth trusting and following.

    Thanks for asking...
