What are you doing to create the life of your dreams?

February 19, 2010 by Cassandra Rae · View Comments

Oh my heaven…what an incredible week!  My daughter came home and visited for the first time since she moved out a couple of weeks ago,  I gave 3 presentations, and all while taking a class, running my biz, and squeezing in a load of laundry and cooking dinner.  Whew!  I’m tired just typing about it.

And thankful that it’s Champagne Friday.

It feels good to slow down, sit down, and relax.  I’ve been putting myself out there so much this week.  It’s been exhilarating to share my message and at the same time it’s been one of my biggest stretches ever.

It was terrifying to stand up in front of 50 peeps and speak for an hour while being filmed, but at the same time it was so amazing.  It felt natural.  Like I was coming home and I love how responsive people were to my presentation.  I received so many words of encouragement.  Yay!

My main take-a-way from this past week is that …ultimately, there comes a time when you simply must take the risk and put yourself out there right where you’re at.  I’m curious. What are you doing to stretch your comfort zone and create the life of your dreams?

Today is Simply Fearless Friday!  Blog about one thing you’ve done this past week that’s stretched your comfort zone and then come back here to share the link directly to your blog post.  Facing your fears is an absolute must when you are building the business of your dreams. But, you do not have to do it alone.  Share your story and I promise to swing on by and leave you a comment.   I’d love to connect with you.

Wow, that is really stepping out!! Good for you, no time like NOW and who better than YOU??
  • Oh yes, this reminder was written for me. It is amazing just how much I hold myself back from doing things for myself. By the time I get done with others, I have little to give back to me. Thankfully, I've been working on it for a long time, and I'm far better than I used to be! ;-)

This week I wrote "Failure vs. Success"--examining a situation where I was unable to connect with someone that was (for me) unapproachable, and had to let go. Letting go seems to be at issue for so many of us. (I like your idea of Fearless Friday.)

I look forward to reading more from you, Cassandra Rae. I'd also love to have you visit my blog, "Living Beyond Life's Challenges", as well as my writing site at Associated Content. It would be an honor to begin dialogue with you on some of the thoughts proposed.

P.S. I am learning to live past the fear of computer-mediated communication, and all the tweet, ping, track, etc. Have so much to learn that my head is spinning! ;-)
  • Thank you so much for swingin' on by and leaving such an awesome comment, Coral! I can't wait to check out your sites.

Yeah, it's amazing how hard it can feel to let go. But, once we do it can feel so liberating. Thank you for reminding me that I can let go of all the pressure I put on myself. Whew! I get to settle into just being me. How nice!

    Hugs ~
