I started my first official career as a tax accountant with Deloitte. I know. Crazy different, right?! But, it’s not as surprising as my background. If it were up to statistics I would be an uneducated mother of 6 living on welfare in the ghetto. But, it wasn’t up to statistics. Or my family. Or where I came from. Nope. It was up to me.

My Education
I’ve always loved school. In fact, I still love it! Currently, I am completing the prerequisites to enter the Licensed Practitioner program through the Center for Spiritual Living. Here are my other certifications and degrees:

My Experience
My professional life began at the age of 13 when a friend of the family hired me to iron her clothes for 50 cents a garment. What can I say? I’ve always done things early in life! And by my early 30’s I had 8 jobs and 2 careers:
- Ironing clothes
- Cleaning houses
- Fast food worker
- One-hour photo processor
- Gift shop cashier
- Pizza parlor hostess
- Data entry/Typist/Office Manager
- Intensive Care Unit secretary
- Tax Accountant
- Life Coach!
I first came to coaching as a client when I was going through a health and career crisis {oh how often those two go together!} The short version of the story is that I experienced a blood clot in my left eye and none of the dozens of doctors I went to could tell me why. After 6 months of tests, exams, and appointments the best they could tell me was that it was a “fluke.”
Today I know that it was my Soul sending me a sign I couldn’t miss. My physical vision went out to show me that my life vision was way out of focus. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life and ultimately one of the biggest blessings. It is the catalyst that inspired me to seek out a coach and my life was completely transformed.
Within months of working with a life coach I knew I was a coach at heart and enrolled in a program with the International Coach Academy. Shortly thereafter in 2005 I founded my own private coaching practice. It has evolved over the years as I’ve evolved and taken on a number of different focuses. We’ve really grown up together and I’m continually amazed at how coaching keeps me moving towards my true heart’s desire personally, professionally, and spiritually.
