I am so excited to announce that we have launched a *FREE* Visioning Group for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs over at SelfMarketing.US and the first meeting is tonight at 7pm Pacific.

Visioning is a super cool process where you tap into Universal Mind.  It is also a practice that  deepens over time as you train yourself to open up to see what the Universe has in store for you and your business.

You see, we have a tendency to limit what is possible for ourselves and our businesses.  It’s simply human nature.  But, there is an Intelligence that knows no limits and it consistently asking to grow itself through you.  Just thinking about the fact that my business is an expression of the Divine makes my heart sing and my face light up.  Fear goes right out the window because how can I screw up if I am following a Divine path.  I might have the capacity to “screw up,” but Spirit doesn’t!

Last week I listened to one of the Women on Purpose telesummit calls where I heard Suzanne Falter Barnes speak for the first time.  I was really drawn to her because she’s all about platform building, branding, and niching which is exactly the area that I need support in right now.  In fact, I know that in order to receive more success I must claim my niche.  But, I keep bumping into my own brilliance and it’s time to receive support as I powerfully step into the next phase of my business and spiritual growth.

Here’s how it works:

1. Pick your top 3 goals for the week.
2. Each day Monday through Friday pick your top 3 goals for the day.

Use your top 3 weekly and daily goals to guide your decisions about how you spend your time.  Give yourself permission to focus.  You might have a lot more than 3 things to accomplish in your day.  That’s fine.  Make as long a list as you’d like (there’s room at the bottom of the worksheet.)  BUT, pick the 3 most important items and when they are done give yourself credit for taking care of business.  Let it be enough and really feel how it feels to be done.  Aaahhhh…

Questions to ask yourself:

• What’s most important?
• How do my daily goals match up with my weekly goals?
• How do my weekly goals match up with my overall goals?
• What would I feel most proud of accomplishing?

“To surrender is to choose to give up what’s not working.”

Whoa!  Really?  Now that’s a definition I can get behind.

Fast forward some random unknown amount of time to yesterday morning and I felt like crap.  The same ‘ol stuff was coming up again.  Building my business is hard.  I don’t wanna do this.  Why can’t this be easier?  I’m tired of doing this all by myself. I could feel my feet dragging and my heart sinking.  It was not pretty.

So I put down my pen and put on my running shoes.  I decided that letting go of writing my Morning Pages and switching focus was probably a good thing.  And it was.  By the time my feet hit the trail I was feeling just a little bit better.

I let myself settle into the rhythm of running while I counted my breath in and out.  And as I was making my way up the prettiest part of the trail – a bright blue bridge – it all just came pouring out…

“Okay, fine.  Universe, I surrender.  I give up trying to do all this stuff by myself.  I’m tired of wearing myself out trying so damn hard.  I admit it.  My way isn’t working.  I’m ready to fully trust in you and the Law.”

Oh and I felt the relief instantly.  I felt the weight being lifted off my shoulders as I stepped out of trying to prove my personal worth through the success of my business and stepped into the co-creative process with the Universe where I get to think and feel my way towards receiving my success.

I really don’t have to make all of this happen on my own. In fact, the same creative energy that made everything I see right now in front of me is also available to me when I line myself up with it.  Now that sounds way easier than trying to make it all happen on my own.  I have to admit…today surrendering feels so good.

My fearless moment came when I decided to look my fear of public speaking square in the eye and say “no more!”  Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not shy. I’m definitely what one would classify as a “Chatty Cathy.” I could talk to anyone about seemingly anything for hours on end. Entertain a small group of people? No sweat! But the idea of standing up on a stage and delivering my message to a room full of onlookers left me both terrified and exhilarated – mostly terrified.  I was scared I would not have anything interesting to say or that I’d fumble through my speech or – worst of all – people would judge me. All of this kept me from taking the plunge and going after speaking gigs.

I knew that ultimately speaking was where I wanted to go. I’m passionate about reaching out to others and inspiring them to live bold & stimulating lives. I knew that my message is an important one and I didn’t want my uneasiness with public speaking to stand in my way. It was time to take action and stop letting fear dictate my path.

Signing up for Toastmasters was a huge step for me. I had to get over my fear of being judged by strangers and I also had to admit that it was ok to ask for help in something. I noticed my confidence building with each speech I delivered. Thinking of content for new speeches made me incredibly excited. I couldn’t believe I had wasted so much time being nervous about speaking.

Being fearless allowed me to identify what was holding me back and figure out a way to nip it in a bud. If I’d decided to stay in my comfort zone I would never have realized how much I actually enjoy speaking. But even worse than that, I would have been depriving the world of my unique message and my unique energy. Being fearless can be terrifying and difficult, but we owe it to ourselves and to everyone around us to take bold, vibrant, fearless steps each and every day.

8. The only thing to worry about is worry!
9. It’s not the “having” that makes you happy.  It’s the alignment with your deeper self {i.e. Soul} that makes you fulfilled and happy.
10. Focus yourself out of sadness and anything undesired.
11. Any undesired experience has a desired equivalent that is serving you.
12. Where you are at determines if you are damning or blessing your past.
13. Take your focus off the hurt > turn to something that isn’t hurting > take care of you > slowly move to a better place.
14. Who are you allowing yourself to be?
15. Make peace with where you are by stopping the struggle.  Stop the battle.  Stop the tug-of-war.
16. Sickness is as much about the good stuff as the bad stuff: if you weren’t really well, then the sickness wouldn’t hurt so much.
17. The reason anything feels so bad is because the good has already happened and you are out of alignment with it.
18. Don’t try to get into the Vortex*.  Simply notice when you are in the Vortex* and create from there.
19. The purpose of consciousness is joyous expansion.
20. Allow your Soul to be your Soul-Mate.

21. It is your alignment with your own Soul that creates the best opportunities for you to align with others – friends, family, co-workers, clients alike.
22. The cells in your body always know what to do.
23. Animals & humans are both extensions of the same Source energy.
24. Animals are awesome allowers.  They allow immediately.
25. Humans do a lot more asking than allowing.
26. Math & music are the same discipline.
27. Desire + Not a Contradiction {i.e. believe it} = Instant Manifestation
28. Make complete peace with what is to allow what really is.
29. Your business is ever-expanding.
30. It isn’t true that trying and working harder and harder get you what you want in life.  In fact, trying can really get in the way.
31. Making peace with what is, is not settling for less.
32. Appreciate unhappiness/dissatisfaction because it has created a Calling within you to reach for something else, something new.
33. Keep creating a new version of you.
34. Positive thinking is not the same as being in the Vortex.
35. Flawed premise: looking to someone else outside of you to make you feel loved.
36. The only place you can be fulfilled is when you are aligned with your Soul.
37. You are sad because you are looking at {i.e. focusing} on the physical situation.
38. True love is mating with your Soul.
39. Lighten up!

40. Stop beating the drum of your problems.
41. You couldn’t feel this bad unless there is something very good waiting for you.
42. Train yourself into the absence of resistance.
43. Trust in the larger part of yourself.
44. Creating from inside the Vortex* is easy.
45. Creating from outside the Vortex* is hard.
46. Your job is to get inside the Vortex* and create from there.
47. Milk it when you’re in the Vortex!
48. Tune in to your Soul.
49. The best way for you to teach is to share your process of alignment.
50. Sharing your process should be fun and not urgent.
51. Everyone wants alignment with their Soul – who they really are.
52. When you’re on your quest of alignment with your Soul, then everything you say is a gift to everyone – even if they don’t like what you say.
53. Lead your life from within.
54. To deny what you know is to exit the Vortex*.
55. Ask & allow; ask & allow; ask & allow – keep up with your asking by allowing.
56. To not allow is to doubt, worry, and try.
57. To allow is to take inspired action with joyful expectation to receive your desires from the Universe.
58. Create your business from inside the Vortex*.
59. All action outside of the Vortex* is miserable.
60. All action in the vicinity & direction of the Vortex* is life-affirming and giving.
61. Faith is living in the Vortex*.
62. Outside of the Vortex* you must rely on physical senses for direction.
63. Confidence is not about validation from others.
64. You have to do what is true to who you are and the Law of Attraction moves into action on your behalf.
65. You have to just not care about external validation.
66. The easiest way to lose your confidence is to search for external validation.
67. Don’t numb your emotions.
68. It’s about the amount of time in a day that you focus on trust, appreciation, love versus panic, worry, and fear.
69. Once you’re in the Vortex*, you’ll know exactly what to do.
70. Deliberately relax into the Vortex* where you can see the next logical step.
71. How often are you standing right outside the Vortex* trying to get to out of reach destinations?
72. Instead, focus on entering the Vortex* and going from there.
73. Catch yourself in contradictory thought {i.e. I want this, but…} and pause.  Laugh!  Identify it.  “Silly me I’m contradicting myself again!”
74. Give yourself permission to refocus, “I really don’t have to think like this right now.”
75. Resistance makes everything hard.
76. Why do you wait until the resistance is the hardest?
77. Why not look to what’s easy?

80. Why do you attempt to prove your worth through struggle?!

82. Nothing comes to you without being a vibrational match to it.

87. Distract yourself away from unwanted activated thought by playing simple games {i.e. go through the alphabet from a-z coming up with a word that begins with each letter that improves how you feel and your attitude}
88. Give yourself credit for your efforts.
89. When you look for something wrong, you just might find it!
90. Discomfort is when you’re out of alignment.
91. Don’t let what-is control your emotional state of being.
92. Want it & align with it; want it & align with it; want it & align with it.
93. Your work is really to align with who you really are and what you really want.
94. Keep aligning with it.
95. Be nice to yourself.
96. Allow things to unfold.
97. Allow your business to unfold.
98. Talk to yourself as your Soul would talk to you.
99. Let the job be done by the natural laws because…
100. It is done!

Then it hit me: this is what we must do in building our businesses. We prepare.  We taxi.  We schedule.  We prepare some more.  And then we line up on that runway and go for it full force.  We give it all we’ve got.  We keep our eyes firmly planted on exactly where we want to do.  We move towards take off.  And when we reach a certain momentum, we turn the nose of our plane upwards and our wheels are off the ground.

We’re in the air!  And it’s oh so beautiful.  The surroundings look completely different from up here.  The view is expansive and colorful.  All of our hard work and dedication is taking off.

You know, this whole experience really got me thinking about how it takes a whole team of people with a common goal to get this plane off the ground.  As a solopreneur, it’s so easy to go it alone. Somehow my dreams feel safer when they’re only in my hands.  But, the truth is my Calling is bigger than just me.  Today, right now, as I write this blog post in my journal while on the plane, I make a promise to build my team.  I am going to ask three people to volunteer to serve on my team as my:

1. Spiritual Partner
2. Business Development Partner
3. Editor

The next logical step for me is to think about what I want to receive through these roles and also what I will give in return.  Once I have a clear request, then I will reach out to a few peeps who I feel aligned with and ask them to serve on my team.

So I know that your Calling is bigger than just you too and now I’m wondering…who can serve on your team?  You don’t have to spend money to build your team.  But, you must make it official.  Ask people to join your team.  Let them know what that means to you and what you will give in return.  Share your vision for your business, ask for their support, and open up to receive it.  Stop taxi-ing the airport, gather your team, and take off!

Here’s what I do know.  I know that the lack of happiness means that I’m not fully aligned with my Soul. You see, my Soul has everything I want and it’s my job to align with my Soul so that I can receive my desires.  Yeah, easier said than done.  But, it’s well worth every ounce of effort because when I am aligned with my Soul that’s when I am in flow with life.  That’s when I am joyously present.  That’s when people and opportunities show up in perfect timing.  That’s when I am in sync with my creative juices.  And that’s where I want to be.

So today, right now, I wrap myself in loving compassion understanding that this empty feeling is only temporary and that at its core it is a gift to me.  How else would I know I’m out of alignment?

I also give myself permission to make taking care of me my top priority today. Yes, I have a ginormous list of things I’d like to accomplish.  But, if I plow my way through my to-do list while ignoring how I feel, I know that I will (1) drain my energy, and (2) not receive the results I want.  Plus, giving a little to myself now always leads to having more later.

Does all of this freak me out? Heck yes!  But, I already feel a little bit better just by writing about it and sharing it with you.  Now before I move into the rest of my day, I’m going to invest in 10 minutes of silence.  I’m simply going to sit, relax, and open up to receive any guidance from my Soul.
